Los Angeles airport CEO discusses $15B makeover
The next big step in the ongoing $15 billion makeover of Los Angeles International Airport will be completion of the automated people mover that will connect terminals, a new parking structure, a Metro station and new rental car center, Los Angeles World Airports CEO Justin Erbacci said. In addition to the Sky Way recently opened by Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines is building Concourse 0, which will add nine new gates to Terminal 1, and Terminal 9 will be built from scratch as a new home to Star Alliance airlines, including Air Canada.
