Lufthansa A350 Launches with Allegris First Class Suite
Lufthansa is set to launch its first Airbus A350-900 featuring the highly anticipated Allegris First Class suite in November 2024. Following months of supply chain delays, the upgraded A350, equipped with luxurious First Class suites, will begin flights from Munich International Airport (MUC) to Bangalore Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) on November 9, 2024. Shortly after, the aircraft will start serving Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) on November 15, alternating between these two key Indian destinations.
The Allegris First Class suite on Lufthansa’s A350-900, registered D-AIXT, represents a significant upgrade in luxury air travel. This advanced suite design includes two individual suites and the exclusive Suite Plus, which provides a spacious double seat and bed setup for ultimate comfort. Originally delivered in May 2024 without the Allegris suite due to global supply chain issues, the newly refurbished aircraft is now ready to offer passengers a premium First Class experience.
Lufthansa’s new Allegris suites are initially accessible by invitation only to select loyal guests. This limited availability allows Lufthansa to introduce the luxury product gradually and to assess guest feedback. As more A350 aircraft are retrofitted with the Allegris suite, Lufthansa plans to expand access and booking options for First Class travelers, offering an elevated travel experience on more international routes.
The Allegris First Class suite sets new standards in comfort, privacy, and customization. Each suite is equipped with an almost one-meter-wide seat that guests can heat or cool according to their preference. Privacy is prioritized with ceiling-high walls, a lockable door, and personal amenities like individual wardrobes, adjustable lighting, and a large table. A high-resolution screen paired with wireless over-ear headphones provides an enhanced entertainment experience, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in in-flight movies or entertainment with unmatched sound quality. Virtual reality (VR) headsets further elevate the entertainment options, creating a unique and interactive experience at 35,000 feet.
One of the standout features of the Allegris suite is the Suite Plus, designed for couples or those desiring extra space. This suite offers a double seating and sleeping arrangement, providing the comfort of a shared bed in the sky. Such a feature is unprecedented on Lufthansa’s A350 fleet and enhances its appeal for luxury travelers seeking unparalleled amenities.
Commenting on the launch, a Lufthansa representative stated, “The furnishings in the First Class Suite set a new standard. Guests can heat or cool their almost one-meter-wide seats in the suite according to their personal needs. The separate suites with ceiling-high walls and lockable doors, large table and wide seat, a huge screen, and wireless over-ear headphones, set new standards in comfort and individuality in the highest class.”
With this upgrade, Lufthansa aims to redefine the luxury travel experience in the First Class segment, enhancing its premium offering to compete on a global scale. The airline’s commitment to high-end service reflects its strategy to attract discerning travelers looking for an exceptional level of comfort, privacy, and innovation in air travel. As Lufthansa continues to equip its fleet with the Allegris First Class suite, travelers can look forward to an upgraded flying experience on select long-haul routes.
