Lufthansa Systems Opens New Aviation IT Hub in India

Lufthansa Systems has officially launched its new subsidiary, Lufthansa Systems India, headquartered in Bengaluru. The company will play a central role in Lufthansa Systems’ Global Capability Center (GCC), developed in partnership with Indian technology leader Infosys. The GCC will focus on accelerating software and product development for both Lufthansa Group airlines and external aviation customers, with an emphasis on AI-driven innovation and next-generation IT solutions.
“With Lufthansa Systems India, we are laying the groundwork for future-ready IT services that combine agility, innovation, and deep aviation expertise. Bengaluru’s dynamic tech ecosystem offers the ideal environment to grow our capabilities and attract top talent,” said Luigi Celmi, managing director of Lufthansa Systems India.
With the addition of the new Indian subsidiary, Lufthansa Systems now operates across 19 global locations, including major hubs in Gdańsk and Budapest, supported by a workforce of approximately 3,100 employees.
