Lukoil-Avia (LUK, Moscow Sheremetyevo) has acquired its first Bombardier Global 6000, RA-73635 (msn 9705), despite ongoing Western sanctions on Russia. The 9.5-year-old business jet arrived in Moscow Vnukovo from Muscat on October 30, 2024, under Lukoil-Avia’s ‘LUK’ airline code, according to ch-aviation research.

Previously registered in the Cayman Islands as VP-CZJ, the Global 6000 operated under TAG Aviation Asia (TBJ, Hong Kong International) until recently. ADS-B data indicates that it flew from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur on June 24, followed by a test flight on August 22. Its last flight with TAG Aviation occurred on September 27, when it landed in Muscat.

The aircraft’s prior registration records from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands reveal that it was owned by Elegant Ease International Limited, a British Virgin Islands-registered company.

This Global 6000 joins Lukoil-Avia’s diverse fleet, which now includes a Global Express XRS, two Beech King Air B300s, and six Mi-8MTV-1 Mil helicopters. Additionally, Lukoil-Avia recently added its first SSJ 100/95SBJ, equipped with Western-made PowerJet SaM146 engines, the last of its kind in Russia.

As the corporate aviation provider for oil and gas giant Lukoil, Lukoil-Avia continues to expand its fleet to support executive and operational needs, showcasing resilience despite international restrictions.
