Princess Cruises has launched reservations for its highly anticipated 2026-2027 South America and Antarctica program, headlined by the 3,650-guest Majestic Princess as she makes her regional debut alongside Sapphire Princess to deliver the line’s most expansive season yet. Sailing between November 2026 and January 2027, the collection features brand-new scenic cruising through the Beagle Channel Fjords and Glacier Alley, where towering hanging and tidewater glaciers spill from the Darwin Mountain Range into cobalt waters alive with porpoises, whales and leopard seals. Guests can choose itineraries calling at 17 destinations across ten countries and touching ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Peninsula Valdés Patagonian Nature Preserve from Puerto Madryn, Uruguay’s historic quarter of Colonia del Sacramento, and Rio de Janeiro’s culturally rich Sitio Roberto Burle Marx. Voyages range from a 15-day Cape Horn and Glaciers of Patagonia sailing that overnights in Buenos Aires to a 17-day Antarctica and South America journey offering four full days of Antarctic exploration and a 18-day Brazilian Adventure that links Rio, Uruguay, Barbados and an overnight in Argentina’s vibrant capital. Two voyages include overnight scenic experiences on the Antarctic Peninsula, where the ships glide through the Gerlache Strait, past Elephant Island and the South Shetland chain for views of pristine ice fields and penguin colonies. Terry Thornton, Princess Cruises’ chief commercial officer, calls the deployment “a return to one of the most remote and awe-inspiring places on earth,” noting that the season showcases “raw beauty where Mother Nature truly shines.” Wildlife lovers can stand on deck as more than a million penguins from five species gather in the Falkland Islands, while photographers capture dramatic glaciers on the approach to Cape Horn and the windswept landscapes of Tierra del Fuego—literally the edge of the world. Ashore, travelers will sip a caipirinha on Rio’s Ipanema Beach beneath the watchful gaze of Christ the Redeemer, dance tango in Buenos Aires after wandering La Recoleta Cemetery, savor world-class Malbec and steak in Chile and Argentina, and feel the pulse of samba parades in Brazil’s coastal cities. Early planners score significant savings: bookings made by June 14, 2025, earn up to US $1,200 in onboard credit per stateroom and up to US $400 in shore excursion credit, combinable with limited-time Princess incentives of up to US $400 instant savings, 40 percent off published fares and complimentary stateroom location upgrades. With Majestic Princess offering expanded dining, entertainment and MedallionClass perks such as friction-free embarkation and on-demand food delivery, and with Sapphire Princess sailing parallel routes, the line’s newest South America and Antarctica season promises immersive cultural encounters, bucket-list wildlife experiences and glacier-filled panoramas that can only be witnessed from the deck of an elegant, modern cruise ship.
