Malaysia Airlines is set to revolutionize its business class experience with the introduction of a new state-of-the-art seat on its upcoming Airbus A330neo jets. In addition, the airline plans to retrofit its existing Airbus A350 fleet with the same cutting-edge seat, offering unparalleled comfort and luxury to its premium passengers.

The Elevation model from Collins Super Diamond, also utilized by renowned airlines like British Airways and Etihad Airways, will be the centerpiece of the new business class offering. Passengers can expect a host of impressive features, including a sliding privacy door, a generous personal screen, ample storage space, and direct aisle access for every traveler.

The enhanced seat design allows for seamless transformation into a fully flat bed, complete with adjustable headrests, lumbar support, and a cozy mattress pad. Business class travelers on Malaysia Airlines’ medium and long-haul routes can look forward to elevated levels of comfort, privacy, and productivity.

The airline is anticipating the arrival of its first Airbus A330neo by late 2024, marking the replacement of its current A330 fleet servicing various destinations across Asia, the Pacific, and the Middle East. With a total order of 20 A330neos, Malaysia Airlines is committed to adopting more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft.

Furthermore, the airline plans to commence the retrofitting of its Airbus A350 fleet with the new business class seat in 2026. The A350s are primarily deployed on the airline’s longest routes, such as London and Tokyo, ensuring a premium travel experience for passengers on these journeys.

As part of this upgrade, Malaysia Airlines will bid farewell to its first-class suites, rebranding them as Business Suites since 2018. This strategic decision aims to optimize space on board and maintain a consistent, high-quality business class product throughout its wide-body fleet.

Malaysia Airlines, the largest carrier in Malaysia and a member of the prestigious Oneworld alliance, boasts an extensive network covering over 60 destinations in 20 countries. Renowned for its exceptional hospitality, service, and cuisine, the airline is committed to providing a world-class travel experience for its passengers.
