Malta’s Medavia seeks Dash 8, B1900D dry-lease placements
Medavia (5M, Malta Int’l) has mandated Airstream International Group to find dry-lease placements for three of its turboprops currently parked at Malta Int’l. The UK-based remarketing specialist said in a statement that Dash 8-100 (msn 222), Dash 8-300 (msn 458), and Beech 1900D (msn UE372) are available for immediate delivery. A subsidiary of Spain’s Air Nostrum (YW, Valencia Manises), Medavia is a Maltese ACMI/charter specialist whose fleet entails the Dash 8-100 and -300, three Beech 1900Ds, and two CRJ1000s. In April, management issued a statement in which it confirmed it had had to retrench staff as a result of the grounding of its fleet. However, it reaffirmed that despite the impact the COVID-19 crisis had had on Medavia’s business, it was not closing its doors.
