Marabu Airlines has successfully completed its first passenger flight
Marabu Airlines, a new European carrier, has successfully completed its first passenger flight after being established in a remarkable four months.
The Estonian airline flew from Munich Airport to Palma de Mallorca Airport on April 15, 2023, as part of its plan to expand its network, including routes to northern Africa. In December 2022, Attestor, an investment firm that owns 51% of German leisure airline Condor, announced its intention to launch a new holiday airline in Estonia.
Nordic Aviation Group, the existing Estonian flag carrier, is supporting Marabu Airlines by providing ACMI services using three Airbus A320neo aircraft. The carrier aims to operate six A320neos from Hamburg and Munich, offering flights to beautiful destinations around the Mediterranean, Egypt, the Canary Islands, Portugal, and Spain, with ticket processing currently handled through Condor.
The first flight from Munich to Tallinn is scheduled for May 21, 2023, and the first flight from Tallinn to Hamburg is expected to depart on June 16. Marabu Airlines CEO, Paul Schwaiger, expressed gratitude for the outstanding cooperation of Estonian authorities in establishing the airline.
