Mardi Gras safety plan in the works for New Orleans

City and law enforcement officials in New Orleans are working together to develop a plan to address potential Mardi Gras crowds in the city’s French Quarter. Municipal spokesperson Beau Tidwell says that tourists will be expected to adhere to pandemic and public safety guidelines and that the city has not ruled out shutting down the French Quarter to deter crowds.
