Margaritaville at Sea proudly announces the successful maiden voyage of its latest ship, the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, from Port Tampa Bay on June 14, 2024. This event marked the beginning of a new chapter for the cruise line, with the ship embarking on a 4-night journey to Cozumel, Mexico.

The Margaritaville at Sea Islander, now the flagship of the fleet, was christened by Savannah Buffett, daughter of music icon Jimmy Buffett, setting the stage for a new era of maritime adventures. The ship has been extensively refurbished to accommodate up to 2,650 guests across its 12-story structure, which includes a three-story LandShark Bar, enhancing the cruise experience with its height and panoramic ocean views.

With six innovative dining options and two fresh live productions, the ship caters to a diverse range of tastes and preferences. It also offers a variety of activities tailored for children, making it an ideal choice for family vacations. Starting with 4- to 5-night itineraries from Tampa to Mexico and Key West, the ship will expand its horizon in 2025 to include 6- and 7-night trips to exotic destinations like Belize, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman.

Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea, expressed his excitement about the launch: “We’re thrilled to kick off the summer by giving guests the opportunity to experience the Margaritaville state of mind on the open ocean like never before. The Islander offers an entirely new way to float into island time, providing couples, families, and friends an unforgettable journey with new spaces and experiences to explore, making the voyage just as enjoyable as the destinations.”

The maiden voyage of the Margaritaville at Sea Islander promises to offer a unique blend of relaxation and adventure, encapsulating the spirit of Margaritaville on the high seas.
