Margaritaville, in collaboration with Karisma Hotels & Resorts, is set to expand its portfolio with the introduction of the Margaritaville Island Reserve Resort Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras, anticipated to open in 2025. This new all-inclusive resort will be a part of the Island Reserve Inclusive Collection, joining other esteemed properties such as Margaritaville Island Reserve Resorts in Cap Cana, Riviera Cancun, Riviera Maya, and the Margaritaville Beach Resort in Ambergris Caye, Belize.

The development of this new resort is a partnership between Margaritaville, Karisma, and the development group Island Shipping, with a targeted completion date in 2025. The resort is designed to feature 164 rooms and will offer guests an array of amenities including live outdoor music venues, a world-class spa, and various branded dining options like LandShark Brewery, JWB Steakhouse, The Beach House, and the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar.

Mario Mathieu, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Design and Construction at Karisma Hotels & Resorts, expressed excitement about the collaboration. “We are committed to delivering an authentic Margaritaville experience that embodies the unique spirit of Roatan, offering guests a blend of relaxation and local culture,” he said.

Shamim Lodin, Executive Director of Development at Margaritaville, added, “Roatan is an extraordinary destination with a rich culture and history, making it the ideal setting for the Margaritaville brand. This resort will not only offer a perfect island getaway but also encapsulate the laid-back luxury and charm of the Bay Islands.”

Jerry Hynds, CEO of Island Shipping, also commented on the project’s significance. “The master-planned coastal development in Roatan is an ideal location for Margaritaville. The island’s growing popularity and natural beauty make it a perfect match for our brand, and we are excited to contribute to the hospitality evolution on the island.”

Roatan is increasingly recognized as a captivating travel destination, known for its exceptional climate, pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and extraordinary coral reefs and underwater attractions.
