Developers plan a trio of new hotels for downtown Anchorage, Alaska, but a definite opening date has been set for just one property as tourist market uncertainty and rising building material prices cloud prospects for the others. A 146-room Aloft Hotel is under construction with a debut scheduled for next spring, while developers voice optimism for the eventual rise of a Courtyard by Marriott and a dual-branded Holiday Inn Express and Candlewood Suites.
