Marriott Bonvoy Launches Outdoor Collection and Travel Platform

Marriott International has unveiled a new outdoor lodging brand, The Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, alongside Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors, a digital platform that connects travelers to unique accommodations, guided adventures, and nature-inspired experiences. The dual launch marks the company’s expansion into outdoor and experiential travel, blending hospitality with exploration.

The Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy offers a curated portfolio of design-focused properties that immerse guests in nature without sacrificing comfort. From luxury glamping near national parks to cliffside boutique retreats, the collection aims to redefine outdoor travel with elevated amenities and seamless access to the natural world.

Two key additions to the Outdoor Collection include Postcard Cabins, which features more than 1,200 beautifully designed cabins across 29 U.S. destinations, and Trailborn Hotels, a boutique brand located near America’s most iconic outdoor spots. Marriott acquired Postcard Cabins at the end of 2024, strengthening its footprint in the adventure travel sector.

Meanwhile, the new Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors platform extends the brand’s ecosystem beyond accommodations, connecting travelers to a range of curated outdoor activities—from hiking and scuba diving to fishing and kayaking. Through a collaboration with Outside Interactive, travelers can now book exclusive Marriott Bonvoy Moments in Hawai‘i, including a guided hike through Kauai’s lush landscapes and a kayaking excursion in Hanalei Bay.

“We built Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors to help people—whether that’s cresting a mountain trail, catching the perfect wave, or finding quiet under the stars,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International.

To promote the launch, TV personality and filmmaker Dylan Efron is leading the Drop Pin Challenge, a treasure hunt spanning 20 outdoor destinations across the U.S. and Canada, with 10 million Marriott Bonvoy points up for grabs. Travelers can visit MarriottBonvoyOutdoors.com to find contest details and location clues. The first 50 participants to locate and scan each hidden pin will earn 10,000 Bonvoy points.

“Travel is at its best when it speaks to who we are and what we love,” Roe added. “With the Outdoor Collection, curated Bonvoy Moments, and the Drop Pin Challenge, we’re not just offering places to stay—we’re opening doors to meaningful experiences that inspire, connect, and stay with you forever.”
