Marriott International has signed an agreement with Al Qimmah Hospitality to develop five new hotel projects across Saudi Arabia, strengthening the company’s presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism markets. The deal will add more than 2,700 guestrooms in key cities including Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah, supporting the Kingdom’s broader tourism and economic diversification strategy.

The portfolio will span four of Marriott’s established brands, including JW Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton and Element Hotels. A notable highlight of the agreement is the Saudi Arabian debut of Four Points Flex by Sheraton, Marriott’s streamlined midscale brand, which will open in the Al Amariyah district of Madinah. The launch signals Marriott’s growing focus on value-driven accommodation options designed to meet rising domestic and regional travel demand.

The remaining developments include JW Marriott Jeddah, The Apartments, Four Points by Sheraton Shesha in Makkah, Four Points by Sheraton Madinah King Fahd Road and Element Madinah Sultana Road. Together, the projects are designed to serve a broad mix of travelers, from business guests and long-stay visitors to religious pilgrims visiting the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

Karim Cheltout, senior vice president of development for the Middle East and Africa at Marriott International, said the agreement builds on the company’s relationship with Al Qimmah Hospitality and BinDawood Investment. He noted that the new hotels will support Saudi Arabia’s ambitious tourism vision by delivering globally recognized hospitality experiences while reflecting the country’s cultural heritage and rapid development. Cheltout added that the introduction of Four Points Flex by Sheraton represents a key milestone, with strong potential to further expand Marriott’s midscale footprint across the Kingdom.

Abdulrazzaq BinDawood, chairman of Al Qimmah Hospitality, said the new projects respond to increasing demand for accommodation in Saudi Arabia and reaffirm the group’s commitment to enhancing travel experiences for local, regional and international guests. He emphasized that the developments will contribute to positioning the Kingdom as a leading global tourism destination.

Marriott’s latest signing builds on an already substantial presence in Saudi Arabia. The company currently operates 44 hotels and more than 11,000 rooms across 13 brands in the country, with a total pipeline of approximately 100 open and under-development properties. The new agreement further reinforces Marriott’s long-term commitment to the Saudi market as tourism continues to accelerate across the region.
