Marriott International and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are elevating their partnership to offer enhanced benefits to members of their loyalty programs. Building on their collaboration that began in January 2023, the two industry giants are now introducing new features that further integrate their Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer programs, enriching the travel experience for their members.

Initially, the partnership enabled members of both Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer, SIA’s lifestyle rewards program, to transfer points and miles between the two programs seamlessly. This innovative two-way conversion allowed travelers to maximize the value of their loyalty points, regardless of whether they were earned through hotel stays or flights.

The expanded partnership now introduces a status match feature, along with an expedited path to higher elite loyalty status. Members of Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold are eligible for status matching to Marriott Bonvoy Gold. Conversely, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members will receive a status match to KrisFlyer Elite Silver tier.

Marriott Bonvoy Elite status offers a range of benefits, including room upgrades, late check-outs, bonus point offers, welcome gifts, and more. John Toomey, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific (excluding China) for Marriott International, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s expansion. “This milestone not only extends our global airline program but also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to enhancing customer loyalty,” he said.

KrisFlyer Elite status holders enjoy privileges like bonus miles offers, complimentary lounge access, additional baggage allowance, priority check-in, and boarding, among others. Dai Haoyu, Acting Senior Vice President, Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, noted, “This strengthened partnership with Marriott provides KrisFlyer members with more accrual and redemption opportunities, matching their evolving lifestyle interests, especially as international travel demand surges.”

Furthermore, the partnership facilitates a quicker upgrade for eligible Marriott Bonvoy members in the KrisFlyer program by requiring fewer flights within a six-month period. Similarly, KrisFlyer members can accelerate their status match with Marriott Bonvoy by completing a specified number of nights at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels within six months.

Additionally, members of both loyalty programs can look forward to exclusive promotions, offering novel ways to earn points and miles through hotel stays and flights.

This enhanced collaboration between Marriott International and Singapore Airlines is a strategic move that not only benefits frequent travelers but also sets a new standard in the integration of loyalty programs across the travel and hospitality industries.
