Marriott: Long view favorable despite rare annual loss

Marriott International reported its first full-year loss in more than a decade Thursday, citing a 57% decline in group bookings in 2021 compared to the end of 2019. Marriott officials project an upswing in group business in the latter half of the year and a return to normal in that category in 2022.
