Marriott, MGM Resorts to Launch W Las Vegas on Mandalay Bay Campus

Marriott International, Inc. and MGM Resorts International have partnered to convert a hotel on Las Vegas’s Mandalay Bay Campus into the W Las Vegas, slated to open later this year. This development is part of a long-term strategic licensing agreement between the two companies, first announced in July 2023 and officially launched in March 2024.

As part of the agreement, MGM Resorts’ properties are now integrated into Marriott Bonvoy’s loyalty program under the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy. This includes twelve properties on the Las Vegas Strip, such as Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Further details on W Las Vegas will be shared in the coming months, as both companies aim to deliver an elevated hospitality experience.

Leeny Oberg, Marriott International’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Development, expressed excitement about the collaboration. “W Hotels is well-suited to the vibrant Las Vegas Strip, and we’re thrilled to continue working with MGM to bring bold luxury and unforgettable experiences to travelers.”

The W brand, known for its modern design and energetic nightlife, will bring a fresh perspective to the Las Vegas hospitality scene, enhancing the entertainment and luxury offerings for both leisure and business travelers.
