Marriott Opens First City Express by Marriott Hotel in the U.S.
Marriott International has opened its first City Express by Marriott-branded hotel in the United States, located in Duluth, Georgia. The City Express by Marriott Duluth offers an affordable midscale experience with amenities such as complimentary breakfast, 24-hour markets, pet-friendly policies, and fitness facilities. The hotel features 83 rooms and is situated just a 30-minute drive from downtown Atlanta.
The City Express by Marriott brand has over 45 signed agreements in the U.S. and Canada, with about 12 expected to open this year. Other upcoming locations include the City Express by Marriott New Orleans Northeast and City Express by Marriott Orlando International Drive.
Marriott acquired the City Express brand in 2023, which was originally a midscale hotel brand primarily located in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Since the acquisition, Marriott has expanded the brand into new markets including Nicaragua, Peru, Bolivia, and other parts of the region.
