Marriott to Double Edition Portfolio, Add Residences
Marriott International plans to double its Edition portfolio globally by 2027 to 30 properties, including the launch of standalone residences, the company announced Wednesday.
The Edition expansion includes standard and extended-stay options, including the brand’s first standalone Florida properties, dubbed Edition Residences, planned for 2026 in Miami and 2027 in Fort Lauderdale, according to Marriott.
“Extending our luxury lifestyle hospitality brand into the standalone residential arena provides our most loyal guests an opportunity to literally live the Edition lifestyle without leaving home,” Edition Hotels SVP and global managing director Josh Fluhr said in a statement. “By the end of 2023, we expect that Edition will operate in 20 destinations.”
Marriott will also launch five new Edition properties in 2023, including a second location in Tokyo. Four properties will mark new destinations for the brand, including Italy, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, according to Marriott
