Marriott to Open 10 New Properties in France by 2025, Expanding Its Dynamic Portfolio
Marriott International is set to enhance its presence in France significantly, with plans to open 10 new properties across the country by the end of 2025. This ambitious expansion will introduce over 1,000 additional rooms to Marriott’s already substantial French portfolio.
Brand Diversity and Strategic Locations Leading the expansion is Marriott’s Moxy Hotels brand, known for its vibrant, youthful spirit, with three new locations on the horizon. Moxy Annecy and Moxy Paris Clamart are slated to open this year, and Moxy Nice is expected to welcome guests in 2025. These openings are part of Marriott’s strategic focus to meet the robust demand for leisure and resort experiences as well as business travel needs.
The growth trajectory also includes several other Marriott brands such as Residence Inn by Marriott Lille and Courtyard by Marriott Lyon East, both of which cater to long-stay and business travelers. Additionally, the introduction of Aloft Dijon and Hôtel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Nice, will cater to those seeking stylish, upscale accommodations.
A Tribute Portfolio Hotel is also set to debut in Mougins, bringing a boutique feel to Marriott’s expanding collection.
Adaptive Reuse and Conversion Projects Nearly half of the new properties will be part of conversion and adaptive reuse projects, showcasing Marriott’s commitment to innovative solutions that integrate new hotels into key locations within city centers. This approach not only enhances Marriott’s footprint but also preserves the unique architectural heritage of existing buildings.
Marriott’s Growing Network in France Marriott International currently operates 69 properties across France, featuring more than 12,000 rooms spread over 16 brands in 29 cities. These include major tourist and business hubs like Paris, Nice, Cannes, Lyon, Strasbourg, Marseille, Reims, Lille, Bordeaux, and Toulouse.
