MIA Jets Adds Citation Sovereign to Its Fleet

MIA Jets, a notable operator within the aviation industry, has recently expanded its Part 135-certified fleet by acquiring its first Citation Sovereign, according to ch-aviation research. The new addition, registered as N680TS (msn 680-0013), is a 20-year-old aircraft that previously served NetJets Aviation and was listed under the Part 135 certificate of Central American Airways as N125JJ.
The Citation Sovereign is renowned for its robust performance and versatility in the private jet market, making it a valuable asset for MIA Jets. This aircraft’s integration into MIA Jets’ fleet marks a significant enhancement, particularly following the retirement of a Phenom 300 earlier in May. The addition aligns with the company’s strategy to diversify and strengthen its operational capabilities.
MIA Jets currently operates a diversified fleet that also includes two Citation Excel jets and an Embraer Executive Jets Legacy 500, emphasizing the operator’s commitment to providing a range of options for its clientele. The Citation Sovereign will complement the existing fleet by offering expanded range and capacity, which are essential for meeting the demands of MIA Jets’ varied customer base.
The transition of the Citation Sovereign from Central American Airways, where it was one of three units, to MIA Jets underscores the dynamic nature of the aviation assets market. Central American Airways continues to operate the other two units of the type, maintaining its operations within the sector.
This fleet expansion by MIA Jets not only enhances its service offerings but also strengthens its position in the competitive Part 135 charter market. The addition of the Citation Sovereign is expected to provide MIA Jets with increased flexibility in flight operations and an improved ability to cater to the needs of its customers seeking private charter services.
