Mich. casino launches hotel addition with dramatic feat

FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Mich., will kick off the opening of an eight-story hotel expansion Monday with a performance by Guinness World Record holder Nik Wallenda, who will walk across a high wire 200 feet above the ground from one hotel tower to another. Owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, the casino’s addition features 203 rooms, a lobby bar, a cafe, a VIP lounge and high-limit gaming area.
