Missouri’s GoJet Airlines to open Richmond, VA base

GoJet Airlines (G7, St. Louis Lambert Int’l) has announced it will expand its US East Coast operations by adding a crew base at Richmond Int’l, VA, in the autumn of 2021. The regional airline – operating as United Express on behalf of United Airlines (UA, Chicago O’Hare) – made the announcement on social media. A spokesman subsequently told ch-aviation that it plans to have 30 crews, which will consist of 60 pilots and 30 flight attendants, in place in Virginia this coming autumn. GoJet is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, and already has crew bases at St. Louis, Chicago O’Hare, Denver Int’l, New York Newark, and Raleigh/Durham, according to the ch-aviation PRO airlines module. It operates a fleet of regional jets consisting of thirty-five CRJ550ERs and nine CRJ550s, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows. As previously reported, it is currently the only operator of the CRJ550.
