Mixed martial arts fighter and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu expert Aaron “Tex” Johnson has been permanently banned from Southwest Airlines following a disruptive onboard incident that was widely shared on social media.

Videos posted across platforms show Johnson arguing with passengers and attempting to climb over seats while shouting insults, calling at least one fellow traveler “a loser.” Flight attendants intervened and attempted to de-escalate the situation. Johnson yelled “assault” as crew members tried to pull him back into his seat.

The flight, still on the ground, was halted as Johnson was removed from the plane. In a second video, passengers can be heard shouting “Bye!” as he is escorted toward the exit. Johnson then turned to scream at the group, prompting one flight attendant to push him back, while nearby passengers stood ready to support the crew.

Another video shows Johnson being wheeled through the airport on a stretcher under police escort. During the removal, he is heard shouting, “I’m being treated like a Black person right now,” drawing criticism for the remark.

According to the New York Post, Johnson later posted on Instagram Stories, writing: “For anyone trying to drag me down, it doesn’t matter to me, I have the best friends.”

Southwest Airlines has not issued an official statement, but multiple outlets confirm that Johnson’s actions led to a lifetime ban from the carrier. The incident has sparked conversation around passenger conduct and airline enforcement of behavior policies.
