Brazil’s Modern Logistics (WD) achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of its inaugural B737-800(BCF) on October 2, 2023. The cargo aircraft, bearing registration 2-BPDK (msn 33566), completed its journey from storage in Haikou, China, to Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil, via stops in Doha, Malta, and Sal Amilcar Cabral International. The 19.2-year-old aircraft, previously operated by Ryanair in passenger configuration, is owned by BBAM and will be re-registered as PP-YBF in Brazil.

Modern Logistics plans to expand its fleet further with the arrival of its second B737-800(BCF) anticipated in the second quarter of 2024. The Brazilian cargo specialist is also exploring options to add two more aircraft in the future.

Currently, Modern Logistics operates a fleet consisting of two B737-300(F)s and one B737-400(SF), as indicated by data from the ch-aviation fleets advanced module. The addition of the B737-800(BCF) underscores Modern Logistics’ commitment to enhancing its cargo capabilities and expanding its operations in the dynamic airfreight sector.
