Mont. lawmakers debate bills focused on transgender youth

A Montana House committee has debated two bills related to transgender youth: one that would bar students from participating on sports teams that don’t correspond with the sex they were identified as having at birth, and another that would prevent health care providers from medically treating youth with gender dysphoria. The National Association of Social Workers’ Montana chapter and other organizations oppose the measures.
