MSC Air Cargo Adds Atlas Air Boeing 747 Freighters for Key Routes

MSC Air Cargo has expanded its operations by wet-leasing two Boeing 747 freighters from Atlas Air for key cargo routes. The Swiss cargo carrier now operates flights from Amsterdam Schiphol to Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Narita via Milan Malpensa, according to its February schedule.
The 12-year-old Boeing 747-8F, registered as N854GT (msn 37566), services Seoul twice weekly, while the Tokyo route is flown weekly by the Boeing 747-400FSCD, N45OPA (msn 30808), based on ADS-B tracking data.
MSC Air Cargo already charters four Boeing 777-200Fs from Atlas Air, which are deployed on several routes, including Budapest to Ezhou in China, Liège to Ezhou, Liège to Karaganda in Kazakhstan, and Maastricht to Hong Kong. These aircraft include N707GT, N708GT, N709GT, and N710GT.
Atlas Air maintains a vast fleet of freighters, consisting of 62 Boeing 747s in different configurations, eight Boeing 777-200Fs, 13 Boeing 767 freighters, and seven Boeing 737-800(BCF)s.
With these latest additions, MSC Air Cargo is strengthening its global freight network, enhancing connectivity between Europe and major Asian markets. The move aligns with the company’s strategy of leveraging long-haul freighters to support growing demand for air cargo services.
