MSC Cruises to Limit Alcohol Packages to 15 Drinks Daily

Share

Starting April 1, 2025, MSC Cruises will implement a daily limit of 15 alcoholic drinks for guests who purchase drink packages. Non-alcoholic beverages will remain unlimited, and guests can still buy additional alcoholic drinks at regular prices if they exceed the limit.

The updated drink packages will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Guests who purchase their packages before this date will avoid the new daily maximum. The changes apply to all sailings departing on or after April 1, 2025. Notably, MSC Yacht Club guests will be exempt from the limit and can continue enjoying drinks without restrictions.

MSC Cruises explained the change as part of its commitment to fostering a “healthy and balanced approach to indulgence” while maintaining high-quality service and a responsible environment for all guests.

The new policy will also extend to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, allowing guests to redeem their packages during their stay. However, the limitation may make it more challenging for package holders to share drinks with travel companions who haven’t purchased a beverage package.

This shift in policy highlights MSC’s focus on promoting responsible consumption while ensuring guests continue to enjoy their onboard experience. Travelers are encouraged to review the new package details and make their purchases early to lock in current benefits before the updated terms take effect.
