MSC Seascape Adds Texas Flavors for Galveston

MSC Cruises is rolling out a new Texas-inspired culinary program aboard MSC Seascape as the ship prepares to homeport in Galveston this fall. Beginning November 9, the vessel will sail seven-night itineraries from Texas every Sunday, offering guests a blend of Southern flavors and Gulf Coast favorites alongside MSC’s signature international cuisine.

The refreshed menus will feature Texas-style prime rib, Cajun-spiced pork loin, collard greens, buttermilk pie, and spicy margaritas. Breakfast options will include Tex-Mex classics like huevos rancheros with refried beans and chicken and waffles drizzled with maple hot sauce. Guests can also enjoy barbecue staples such as smoked beef brisket with jalapeño sauce, BBQ baked beans, dirty rice, and roasted corn with poblano.

For travelers seeking a more curated experience, MSC Seascape will introduce two tastings in the Wine Cellar: the MSC Bourbon & Bacon Experience and the MSC Macallan Experience, both designed to highlight American spirits paired with bold flavors.

“As we welcome more guests from Texas and the South, we’re leaning into the region’s uniquely American cuisine,” said Josef Jungwirth, MSC Cruises’ vice president of food and beverage operations in the U.S. “Our team has traveled the state to gather inspiration, pairing it with MSC’s European influences to create a culinary program that balances comfort and style.”

The Texas-themed offerings are part of MSC’s strategy to tailor its onboard experiences to regional markets, giving guests from the Lone Star State a taste of home while at sea.
