Debuting this month, the 215,863-ton, 6,764-passenger liner offers an expansive range of stateroom configurations, indoor and outdoor activity areas, diverse dining venues and entertainment options. Company officials hope that injecting European design elements into every facet of the vessel will attract American vacationers seeking fresh experiences at sea. From sophisticated lounge décor and Continental dining concepts to spa treatments inspired by Mediterranean traditions, the ship blends contemporary amenities with European flair. The design philosophy reflects MSC’s broader goal of appealing to a North American clientele with a taste for cosmopolitan travel in familiar Caribbean destinations.

MSC leveraged a high-profile marketing push to champion this positioning, rolling out a broadcast campaign during Super Bowl LIX in January featuring Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom. The commercial portrays the two celebrities as cultural icons with styles that meld seamlessly, mirroring the ship’s fusion of American comfort and European elegance.

Based at MSC’s new PortMiami terminal, World America sails alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries calling at ports such as San Juan, Puerto Plata, Cozumel and Ocean Cay Marine Reserve. Anchoring the ship in one of the world’s busiest cruise hubs underscores MSC’s North American focus. Early advisor feedback has been positive. Stephen Scott of TravelHub 365 noted the ship’s water park and entertainment offerings appeal to both European-style seekers and American families.

Rubén A. Rodríguez, president of MSC Cruises USA, said World America exemplifies MSC’s strategy to unite international guests and U.S. travelers. He noted the ship’s European design and tailored services mark a new chapter in cruise vacations. Exclusive onboard districts include the Yacht Club enclave with butler service, the Family Aventura park featuring a high ropes course and ocean-view attractions, and an adults-only Zen Area for quiet relaxation.

Stateroom options on World America range from spacious Duplex Suites with private whirlpools and outdoor terraces to 1,614-square-foot Owner’s Suites in the Yacht Club district. Flexible accommodation choices include connecting cabins for multi-generational groups, Promenade Balcony rooms overlooking an aft promenade and Infinite Ocean View staterooms with sliding windows that open to the horizon. These options ensure that every guest can select a layout that suits their needs and preferences.

Dining on World America spans 19 venues, from specialty restaurants such as Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Sushi & Teppanyaki and Hola! cantina to four main dining rooms and casual buffets. The Luna Park district serves pizza, burgers and snacks around the clock. World Esplanade recreates a European café atmosphere after dinner.
