MSC Cruises has officially opened bookings for its latest addition to the World Class series, the highly anticipated MSC World Asia, which is scheduled to launch in December 2026. This state-of-the-art vessel is set to offer an immersive cruising experience in the Western Mediterranean, with innovative itineraries for both winter and summer seasons designed to captivate travelers seeking luxury, sustainability, and modern design.

MSC World Asia promises a unique voyage that combines contemporary style with subtle Asian-inspired design elements. One of the most striking features of the ship is MSC’s signature plumb bow, rising vertically from the waterline, paired with a distinctive Y-shaped aft that leads to an expansive outdoor promenade. Guests will enjoy access to over 40 bars, lounges, and restaurants, as well as world-class entertainment options and family-friendly facilities that cater to all ages.

For the winter season, beginning on December 11, 2026, MSC World Asia will embark on seven-night sailings, making stops at some of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after destinations. The winter itinerary includes ports such as Barcelona (Spain), Marseille (France), and Genoa, along with Civitavecchia (serving Rome) and Messina (Italy), as well as Valletta (Malta). Each port of call will provide accessible embarkation options, ensuring a more inclusive journey that accommodates a diverse range of travelers. These well-curated stops not only showcase the rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty of the region but also provide a seamless boarding experience for guests.

Looking ahead to summer 2027, MSC World Asia will adjust its itinerary to feature a slightly different route while continuing its commitment to delivering memorable travel experiences. During the summer season, the ship’s weekly rotation will include stops in Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina, and Valletta. This revised itinerary reflects MSC Cruises’ dedication to offering a dynamic mix of destinations that appeal to both seasoned cruisers and first-time passengers.

As the third ship in the acclaimed World Class series—joining MSC World Europa and the upcoming MSC World America—MSC World Asia underscores the brand’s tradition of innovation and global reach. The new ship will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), aligning with MSC Cruises’ commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. The LNG propulsion system is part of a broader strategy to adopt cleaner technologies and ensure that every voyage is as eco-friendly as it is luxurious.

“We are excited to launch MSC World Asia, which will further enhance our lineup in the region and give guests even more choices for their winter escapes or summer getaways,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises. “As with each of our new ships, we are introducing innovative concepts, venues, and services designed to deliver the ultimate cruise experience.”

To celebrate the launch, MSC Cruises is offering exclusive benefits for MSC Voyager’s Club members who book their voyages before February 13, 2025. These special offers include 1,000 extra membership points, a $50 onboard credit per person, and additional Voyager’s Exclusives benefits, such as a combined discount of 10 percent for bookings made more than 12 months in advance, double membership points, and an extra $50 onboard credit for Silver status members.

With its modern design, sustainable technology, and carefully crafted itineraries, MSC World Asia is poised to become a favorite among discerning travelers looking to explore the Mediterranean in style. Bookings are now open, inviting guests to experience the ultimate blend of innovation, luxury, and cultural discovery aboard this world-class vessel.
