My Freighter Expands Globally with New Operating Certificates
My Freighter, a leading cargo airline based in Tashkent International (C6), is set to accelerate its international growth by obtaining two new Air Operator’s Certificates (AOCs) in Hungary and Saudi Arabia. This strategic move was announced by Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, founder and CEO of parent company Centrum Holding, during the Central Asia Air Cargo Summit 2024 last week.
The acquisition of these new AOCs marks a significant milestone for My Freighter, enabling the airline to broaden its operational footprint across key global markets. “These new cargo airlines will allow us to expand our presence in Europe, South and North America, the Middle East, and the Far East,” Abdurakhmanov stated. He also revealed plans to establish an additional base in Navoi, Uzbekistan, from which cargo will be regularly delivered to major European hubs such as Liège and Ostrava.
Currently, My Freighter operates a robust fleet comprising four Boeing 767-300ER (BCF) freighters and one Boeing 767-300ER (BDSF). The airline has ambitious growth plans, with five additional aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2025. By 2026, My Freighter aims to operate a total fleet of 20 freighters, significantly enhancing its cargo transportation capabilities.
While details about potential orders for new-generation cargo aircraft remain under wraps, Abdurakhmanov emphasized the airline’s commitment to expanding its network. “We will expand our network and plan to enter the markets of Singapore, Malaysia, and the Pacific countries, and also to operate regular flights to Pakistan and India,” he added. This expansion is expected to meet the rising demand for reliable and efficient cargo services in these regions.
In addition to its cargo operations, My Freighter also manages a passenger division, Centrum Air, which operates without a separate AOC. Centrum Air’s current fleet includes four Airbus A320-200s, one A321-200N, one A321-200NX, and one Airbus ACJ319-100N, according to ch-aviation fleet data. The passenger division is also planning significant fleet expansion, with its first Airbus A330-300 and additional A321-200NX(LR) aircraft scheduled to arrive in 2025. These additions will bolster Centrum Air’s capacity to offer premium passenger services alongside its cargo operations.
My Freighter’s strategic expansion through new AOCs in Hungary and Saudi Arabia underscores the airline’s commitment to becoming a global leader in the air cargo industry. By establishing bases in these regions, My Freighter is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for international cargo transportation, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods across continents.
The expansion plans are supported by My Freighter’s strong operational foundation and ownership of its aircraft, a strategy that enhances control over operational efficiency and capital deployment. As the airline continues to grow, the addition of new aircraft and bases will enable My Freighter to offer more comprehensive and flexible cargo solutions to its clients worldwide.
Abdurakhmanov highlighted that My Freighter’s growth is driven by a combination of strategic investments and a clear vision for the future. “This expansion is not just about increasing our fleet size but also about enhancing our service quality and operational capabilities to meet the diverse needs of our global customers,” he explained.
With the new AOCs and planned fleet expansion, My Freighter is set to strengthen its position in the competitive air cargo market. The airline’s focus on operational efficiency, strategic growth, and comprehensive service offerings ensures that it remains a key player in the global logistics and transportation industry.
My Freighter’s initiative to obtain new Air Operator’s Certificates in Hungary and Saudi Arabia represents a pivotal step in its international growth strategy. By expanding its operational reach and enhancing its fleet, My Freighter is well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the global cargo market, driving sustained growth and operational excellence in the years to come.
