N.Y., D.C. chefs come together to fight against racism
Recent anti-Asian sentiment and violence have moved renowned Washington, D.C., restaurateur Danny Lee to action with an April fundraising event to benefit EmbraceRace, a nonprofit dedicated to “rais[ing] a generation of children who are thoughtful, informed, and brave about race.” The nearly sold out event, which is just the beginning, Lee says, is slated to bring together the best culinary artists from New York to D.C to “be vocal and relentless and active in promoting diversity and unity and love company-wide,” Lee said.
