Nassau Cruise Port is celebrating its sixth anniversary with a wave of new enhancements designed to elevate the visitor experience and strengthen ties with the local community.

The port will soon feature a new swimming pool, an expanded marina, and a state-of-the-art ferry terminal. The upgraded terminal will serve as a key transportation hub for passengers traveling to the Royal Beach Club, Royal Caribbean’s new private destination currently under development on Paradise Island.

Recognized as the world’s largest transit cruise port, Nassau Cruise Port has welcomed millions of visitors since its $300 million redevelopment. The anniversary highlights the port’s continued commitment to connecting travelers with Bahamian culture and hospitality.

“This milestone represents much more than the passage of time,” said Mike Maura Jr., CEO and director of Nassau Cruise Port. “It reflects our promise to continually elevate the guest experience, contribute to the local economy, and provide opportunities for Bahamians.”

Since opening in 2019, the port has grown from welcoming 3.85 million guests in its first year to an expected 6 million visitors in 2025. “Our $350 million investment in Nassau’s waterfront underscores our mission to make this city a premier cruise and leisure destination,” Maura added.

As part of its anniversary celebrations, Nassau Cruise Port will host a series of events recognizing team achievements, supporting local businesses, and showcasing Bahamian art, food, and culture to millions of visitors from around the world.
