National Airlines (N8) has unveiled plans to order four new-build 777-200Fs from Boeing, with deliveries expected between late 2025 and 2026. This strategic move, announced at the 2024 Farnborough Air Show, signifies the airline’s commitment to modernizing its fleet and enhancing its air freight services.

“This order underscores our dedication to providing efficient, resourceful, and modern air freight solutions to meet the growing transportation needs of our global customers,” stated Christopher Alf, Chairman and President of National Airlines. “It is a pivotal step in our fleet growth plan as we embark on the next chapter of National.”

Currently, National Airlines operates an aging fleet of Boeing 747 freighters, including six 747-400(BCF)s, one 747-400ERF, and one 747-400FSCD. The addition of the 777-200Fs will provide a modern and efficient alternative, addressing the scarcity of available 747s and potentially phasing out some older models.

The airline’s fleet also includes one A330-200, one A330-300, and one 757-200, which are utilized for passenger charters. This diversification in aircraft types highlights National Airlines’ versatility in catering to both cargo and passenger transport demands.

The integration of the 777-200Fs into National Airlines’ operations is expected to enhance its capability to support a wide range of freight requirements, bolstering its position in the global air cargo market.
