Jordana Izzo, Director of Accessible Travel at Travelmation, is introducing the first-ever “Caregivers in the Caribbean” wellness retreat, set for May 14–17, 2026 at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in Jamaica. Designed as a respite for those who devote themselves to caring for others, the three-night adults-only getaway blends structured wellness activities with ample time for relaxation.

Hosted at the all-inclusive Sandals Ochi, the retreat offers private beaches, gourmet dining, and a tranquil setting for caregivers to recharge. Participants can take part in optional group meetups, connect with others who share similar experiences, or simply enjoy quiet time to themselves.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, nearly 60% of caregivers experience burnout, whether they are caring for children, aging parents, disabled family members, or partners. Izzo said the retreat is aimed at giving attendees a chance to reconnect with a partner or friend, share stories, and “really just relax for a few nights.”

“Our main goal in this one-of-a-kind event is to help caregivers understand it’s okay to take time for yourself,” she explained. “Visit the spa, sleep in, go golfing, or spend time with people who ‘get it.’ Prioritizing self-care is one of the main ways to prevent burnout, and this retreat is the ultimate opportunity to put yourself first.”

Space is limited, with accommodations ranging from Luxury to Butler Level. Interested travelers or advisors can contact Izzo directly to secure bookings while availability lasts.
