Travel enthusiasts from Singapore can now look forward to a unique vacation experience that doesn’t involve air travel. A stunning private island named ONE°15 Marina Nirup Island has recently opened just nine miles south of Singapore, providing an exclusive getaway for those seeking luxury and relaxation.

This exciting launch marks the first phase of development, featuring an array of amenities including a restaurant, bar, ferry terminal, and a marina designed to accommodate up to 44 yachts measuring up to 150 feet in length. While immigration and customs services are currently available by appointment, the island is exclusively accessible via private boat.

The charm of Nirup Island lies not only in its luxurious offerings but also in its future plans. The second phase of development, slated for completion in 2024, promises even more convenience and accessibility. As part of this expansion, ferry services will be introduced, coinciding with the anticipated opening of a Westin Hotels & Resorts property in the fourth quarter of 2024. The hotel will boast 94 rooms and 52 villas, providing travelers with a truly indulgent experience.

In addition to the Westin property, Nirup Island’s second phase will also introduce The Riahi Residences, a development that will feature 30 villas available for purchase. This visionary project is managed by the marina operator SUTL Enterprise and owned by PT. Tritunas Sinar Benua, an Indonesian real estate developer.

Arthur Tay, CEO and executive director of SUTL Enterprise, envisions Nirup Island as a haven for both leisure and business travelers. Beyond catering to boating enthusiasts, the island aims to attract corporate retreats and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events, thereby serving as a versatile destination.

Situated in Indonesia’s Riau Islands, Nirup Island joins a league of private island hotels that have emerged in the South China Sea province over the past decades. Among them, Bawah Reserve and Nikoi Private Island stand out as exceptional options, each offering unique experiences and captivating landscapes.

As Singapore’s nearest private island retreat, ONE°15 Marina Nirup Island promises a picturesque escape, reflecting the vision of Arthur Tay to create a string of remarkable luxury destinations along the region’s coastlines. With a blend of opulence and tranquility, the island is poised to become a sought-after gem for travelers seeking an unforgettable getaway.
