New Jersey’s USAC Airways adds first E135
USAC Airways has added its first EMB-135LR ahead of the planned launch of scheduled charter operations on behalf of its parent, Aero (United States of America), ch-aviation research has revealed. The 17.8-year-old Embraer regional jet was first seen in service on January 8, 2021, flying from Allentown to Washington, PA and return, AirNav RadarBox ADS-B data shows. The aircraft’s last commercial operator was Lynx Táxi Aéreo (Rio de Janeiro Jacarepaguá), which retired it in 2015. From then on, the E135 was operated privately. Aero said on its website that it would deploy the aircraft, configured for 16 passengers, on scheduled public charters sold on an individual basis. The virtual carrier plans to initially operate a single route, from Los Angeles Int’l to Aspen, plying it 5x weekly starting on February 4, 2021. USAC Airways, a Part 135 carrier, has thus far operated a single Cessna (twin piston) C414A aircraft on charter flights.
