New Mexico’s Taos Air to resume flights
Taos Air (Taos) has announced it will resume flights between Taos, a town in northern New Mexico’s Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and destinations in Southern California and Texas later this summer. Running from July 1 until September 27, 2021, the virtual carrier will once again offer twice-weekly direct round-trips to Austin Bergstrom Int’l, Dallas Love Field, Hawthorne, and Carlsbad, CA. It will also offer services for the winter 2021-22 ski season, the company announced in a statement. The non-stop flights are public charters sold and operated by Advanced Air (AN, Hawthorne), a scheduled commuter and private charter airline based in California. Taos Air owns the two Do328-300s operated by Advanced Air, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module reveals. Taos Air began seasonal flights to cities in Texas in 2018 and California in 2019. The airline, owned by the Taos Ski Valley resort, suspended its operations in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
