Canadian civil aviation regulator Transport Canada has granted approval for Canada Jetlines (JETMF) to launch commercial passenger flights from its hub at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

The new ultra-low-cost carrier received its air operator certificate (AOC) on August 18, 2022, proving that the airline meets all safety regulations for aircraft operations. Now the newcomer can proceed with its launch plans.

“The entire team at Canada Jetlines (JETMF) is thrilled to obtain our AOC after meeting all necessary operation standards and passing all inspections,” said Eddy Doyle, CEO of Canada Jetlines (JETMF). “We excitedly look forward to our launch date, meeting the increased demand for convenient, leisure travel in Canada and beyond and providing more options to explore the world.”
