New Zealand’s Glenorchy Air adds maiden C208B
Glenorchy Air (Queenstown) has added its first Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravan EX, local aviation blog 3rd Level New Zealand has reported. N879UT (msn 208B5563), a new-build unit, was ferried from Merced Macready via Honolulu and Pago Pago to Auckland Int’l over the course of September 13-16, 2020, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft has since been repositioned to Wanaka but has yet to be added to the New Zealand register as ZK-MMZ. According to Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand and the carrier’s website, Glenorchy Air operates three seven-seat GA8s and a single five-seat Cessna (single piston) 206 Stationair. The newly delivered Grand Caravan will become the carrier’s largest aircraft with its nine passenger seats. A charter specialist based out of Queenstown in New Zealand’s South Island, Glenorchy Air focuses on scenic flights over the Milford Sound and in the vicinity of Mount Cook.
