No quick end in sight for Hawaii visitor constraints
Hawaii’s policy of tightly restricting tourism is likely to remain in place through the holiday season as the state’s Safe Travels Hawaii program marks its first anniversary, Lt. Gov. Josh Green says. “The reason for that is that there’s a higher COVID rate on the mainland, and we’re still adjusting to the prospect of bringing international travel here,” Green says of the requirement that visitors show a negative COVID test to avoid quarantine or proof of vaccination.
