Nonprofit teaches Black youths how to build wealth

The BlackRiver Financial Youth Academy in Philadelphia is trying to break the cycle of income inequity by teaching young people about financial literacy and expects the lessons to also have a positive effect on their parents. “With kids, once they learn early, just like tying their shoes, they never forget these things,” said founder Kenneth Booth.
