Flyr took delivery of its first Boeing 737-8 Max on February 21, 2022, after LN-FGF (msn 43324) was delivered directly from Seattle Boeing Field to Oslo Gardermoen, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It is the first of six 737-8s due to be leased from Air Lease Corporation. The remaining five are scheduled for delivery by July 2022. Flyr has a further four options with the same lessor.

The airline’s first Max joins its existing fleet of six 737-800s. Flyr has yet to file schedules for the new type.

The LCC launched in June 2021 and had a tough first half a year due to lingering COVID-19 restrictions, but remains optimistic that it would rebound in the upcoming summer 2022 season. It plans to operate 44 routes to 38 destinations. Its network comprises a mix of domestic routes in Norway and international services mainly to leisure destinations in southern Europe.
