Norwegian Cruise Line Cancels Nearly a Month of Itineraries for Pride of America Drydock

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced the cancellation of nearly a month’s worth of itineraries for the Pride of America due to scheduled drydock maintenance. The affected cruises, which span from May 3 to May 25, 2025, will be canceled as the ship undergoes essential routine maintenance to ensure continued high standards across NCL’s fleet.

Guests impacted by the cancellations have already been informed and will receive full refunds for their bookings. Those who used a previously issued Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for their reservations will have their FCCs fully restored. This means they will receive a new FCC equivalent to the total amount of their original credit.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s decision to place the Pride of America in drydock reflects its commitment to delivering exceptional vacation experiences. “As part of our dedication to providing extraordinary vacations around the world, and to maintain a consistent world-class product across our fleet, the Pride of America will undergo routine maintenance in May 2025,” stated NCL in its announcement.

The Pride of America, known for its Hawaiian itineraries, departs from Honolulu and explores the beautiful islands of Hawaii. This vessel is integral to NCL’s offerings in the region, and the drydock is part of the company’s efforts to uphold the quality and excellence expected by its guests.

For guests who originally used FCCs for their reservations, NCL is offering a special incentive: a 20 percent discount on future cruises aboard the Pride of America, valid for trips between April 5, 2025, and June 21, 2025. However, this discount cannot be applied to previously canceled cruises. Guests who did not use an FCC will receive a 10 percent discount, also as an FCC, valid through the end of 2025. Please note that this discount cannot be combined with the FCC discount for those affected by the drydock.

In addition to addressing the current itinerary changes, Norwegian Cruise Line has recently unveiled its 2026 voyage lineup, offering guests new opportunities to explore exciting destinations around the world. The cruise line continues to prioritize guest satisfaction and quality service, ensuring that every aspect of the travel experience meets high standards.

For more information on the cancellations, refunds, or future discounts, affected guests are encouraged to contact Norwegian Cruise Line directly or visit the company’s website. NCL remains committed to delivering exceptional vacation experiences and looks forward to welcoming guests back aboard the Pride of America after its maintenance period.
