Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to enhance its cruise offerings with the introduction of new Caribbean itineraries this fall, departing from New Orleans and Port Canaveral. These new sailings, available on the Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Epic, respond to the growing demand for warm-weather vacation options in the fall season.

New Seasonal Sailings

Starting October 20, travelers can embark on seven-day roundtrip sailings to the Western Caribbean from New Orleans aboard the Norwegian Getaway. The Eastern Caribbean will become more accessible with sailings from Port Canaveral on the Norwegian Epic beginning October 30. Bookings for these exciting new routes will open in the coming month.

Strategic Deployment Post Mediterranean Season

The decision to introduce these Caribbean sailings aligns with the increasing interest among vacationers in exploring tropical destinations during the cooler months. Both the Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Epic will be repositioning to the United States after their summer itineraries in the Mediterranean and Greek Isles.

Emphasis on Guest Experience and Accessibility

David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, emphasizes the Caribbean’s enduring appeal to global travelers, particularly during the fall and winter. “Our goal is always to deliver the best vacation experience, and offering trips from convenient homeports like New Orleans and Port Canaveral with our larger ships was a natural choice,” he remarked.

The introduction of these new itineraries from Norwegian Cruise Line is a strategic move to cater to the evolving preferences of cruise enthusiasts. With these additional options, NCL continues to position itself as a leader in providing diverse and accessible cruise experiences, making tropical getaways more appealing and convenient for travelers seeking sun-soaked adventures.
