Norwegian Cruise Line is significantly expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, announcing a new slate of more than 30 cruises across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, scheduled from September 2024 through March 2026. This ambitious expansion will see a total of 85 voyages on three ships newly assigned to the region: Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Sun, and Norwegian Sky. These itineraries, ranging from nine to 19 days, are designed to provide guests with extensive port time, averaging 10 hours, and include overnight stays in 11 distinct destinations.

David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, expressed his personal connection and excitement about the expansion, stating, “Having lived in Asia with my family, I can attest to it being one of those unforgettable places. With the increased interest in more immersive and exotic itineraries, we are excited to expand our season and offer additional ships to cater to travelers looking to uncover the most sought-out cities in the region, but also those less discovered.”

The new voyages will embark from a diverse array of 15 ports, including Auckland, New Zealand; Bali (Benoa), Indonesia; Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand; Manila, Philippines; Papeete (Tahiti), French Polynesia; Seoul (Incheon), South Korea; Singapore; Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan; Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan; Vancouver, Canada; and Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. Notably, this expansion will also mark the first time Norwegian Cruise Line sails from Cairns, Australia, and Lautoka, Fiji.

This initiative marks the first time Norwegian will offer summer cruises in Asia, aiming to capture the growing interest from U.S.-based travelers in the Asia-Pacific region. Herrera added, “Countries in Asia Pacific provide unmatched diversity, from so many captivating cultures across Asia to island-hopping in the South Pacific and the rugged natural beauty of Australia and New Zealand. Now, with more voyages, choice of ships, and departure ports to choose from, guests can curate their vacation to this region their way.”

With these new offerings, Norwegian Cruise Line continues to innovate its cruise experiences, providing travelers with unique and enriching ways to explore the vibrant cultures and scenic beauty of the Asia-Pacific region.
