Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to enhance its entertainment offerings with two exciting new shows on board its upcoming ship, Norwegian Aqua, scheduled to debut in April 2025. The new productions, titled “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince” and “Elements: The World Expanded,” promise to deliver unforgettable experiences for guests.

Developed by NCL’s in-house production team at the Creative Studios in Tampa, Florida, the shows feature the expertise of award-winning Broadway choreographer and director Patricia Wilcox. “For decades, NCL has set the standard in entertainment at sea, with world-class productions and talent that rivals those found in major cities like Las Vegas, New York City, and London,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. He added, “For Norwegian Aqua, we are thrilled to build on our legacy of excellence in entertainment to offer our guests more options across the ship, including exclusive original productions that cannot be seen anywhere else on land or at sea.”

“Revolution: A Celebration of Prince” has been created in partnership with Prince Legacy, LLC, and Primary Wave Music. This immersive tribute show will honor the legendary artist with a repertoire of his iconic hits, including “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Little Red Corvette,” “Delirious,” and “Purple Rain.” Wilcox shared her inspiration, stating, “I’ve always been inspired by Prince, and the idea came to me nearly seven years ago to create a theatrical concert that would joyfully celebrate his music and exceptional artistry.” She expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Norwegian Cruise Line, noting the ship’s beautiful, multi-purpose theater as the ideal setting for this production.

The second show, “Elements: The World Expanded,” will be an enhanced version of the popular “Elements” show currently featured on four other NCL ships. This revamped production will combine acrobatics and magic, themed around the four elements: earth, wind, water, and fire, ensuring an engaging spectacle for guests.

In addition to these two main shows, Norwegian Aqua will host a variety of entertainment options, including The Aqua Theater & Club, “The Improv at Sea” comedy club, and “The Price is Right LIVE on NCL” game show. A Fleetwood Mac tribute experience, “Syd Norman’s Presents: Rumours,” will also be part of the entertainment lineup.

“From vibrant production shows to parties, musical performances, game shows, comedy, and more, we have struck just the right balance of offering something for everyone to enjoy on board Norwegian Aqua,” said Bryan Anthony White, NCL’s vice president of entertainment production. He praised the talent of the performers and the dedication of the behind-the-scenes team, noting that their efforts shine through in the exceptional shows.

With these innovative entertainment offerings, Norwegian Aqua aims to captivate guests and elevate their cruising experience. As the ship prepares for its launch, excitement builds for the unforgettable performances that await travelers on board.
