Norwegian Cruise Line is set to revamp the Norwegian Encore with an exciting makeover later this year.

The 3,958-guest ship will undergo a two-week dry dock from November 18 to December 2, during which it will receive a host of updates and new features.

David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, emphasizes, “Our guests’ wants and needs are at the forefront of every decision that we make, and enhancing Norwegian Encore with more of the experiences they value showcases our commitment to just that.”

Key changes include replacing the laser tag arena with Spice H20, an adults-only outdoor lounge. Designed in partnership with Studio Dado, this new space will offer multiple hot tubs, large day beds, cooling pools, and a bar serving cocktails, all tucked away from the main pool deck.

The renovation will also see the expansion of popular dining venues Cagney Steakhouse and Teppanyaki. Teppanyaki will move to the former locations of Los Lobos and Coco’s, while Palomar, a Mediterranean seafood restaurant, will replace Ocean Blue.

Additionally, the premier owner’s suites within The Haven will be expanded from two to three bedrooms to meet growing demand. These suites will feature new furnishings, 3.5 bathrooms, and a separate dining room.

The upgrade will also introduce 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms within The Haven, reflecting similar enhancements made on Norwegian Joy.

Herrera concludes, “From more space for adults to relax, to more opportunities to enjoy their favorite dining options and beyond, we are dedicated to providing our guests with an elevated onboard experience as part of their dream vacation.”
