Norwegian Extends Collaboration with TUI Group, Secures Charter Contract for 2024 Seasons

Norwegian, the Oslo Gardermoen-based low-cost carrier, is set to strengthen its longstanding partnership with leading tour operator TUI Group for the upcoming winter 2023-24 and summer 2024 seasons. The collaboration will see Norwegian operating charter flights from various Scandinavian locations to popular destinations across Europe, marking a significant development in the airline’s strategic expansion.

According to a statement released by Norwegian, the airline will play a pivotal role in delivering 70% of TUI’s charter capacity in Norway for the coming year. Additionally, Norwegian will extend its services to operate flights for TUI from Sweden and Denmark, demonstrating the depth of the partnership between the two companies, which has been in place since 2010.

The charter flights will originate “from several regional and main airports in Norway and Sweden as well as from Copenhagen Kastrup in Denmark,” as outlined in the official statement. Tommy Serban, the Commercial Director at TUI Nordic, highlighted that the initial focus of these flights will be on the Canary Islands, a popular winter travel destination.

Specifically, in Norway, Norwegian will operate TUI charter flights from major airports including Oslo Gardermoen, Oslo Torp, Alesund, Bergen, Bodø, Harstad/Narvik, Haugesund, Stavanger, and Tromsø. The destinations covered will span Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Turkey.

In Sweden, the flights will connect Kalmar and Karlstad to Gran Canaria, and Stockholm Arlanda will offer services to Catania. Simultaneously, Copenhagen will see flights to Palma de Mallorca and Catania.
